Larry and Kitty Joyce married after attending one year of college, but they were a couple since 8th grade when his family moved to Crosbyton, from Erick, OK where they attended the First Christian Church.  He lived about 8 miles down the road and they rode the same bus to school. On the first day of school in the 8th grade when I got on the bus, he told someone, “ I am going to marry that girl!”

He did and they have been married for 50 years. They have 3 kids Buffy, Mysti, and Layne, and 8 grandkids.

Buffy and Darren Wilson live in Abilene. She teaches 1st grade and Darren is the administrator of ACU Maker Lab.

 -Laura is a senior nursing major at ACU.

 -Kate is a sophomore at ATEMS accelerated HS in Abilene and volunteers at the Abilene zoo weekly.

Mysti and Chris Ford live just outside Lubbock. Mysti is office manager for A&S Transportation. Chris sells domestic/international cotton for PCCA.

 -Hunter and Lauren live in Lubbock. Hunter is a football coach/head track coach/math teacher while Lauren owns Collections of Lubbock designing homes.

 -Cheyenne and is engaged to Seth and they plan to live in Lubbock. She graduated from WT with an animal science degree she currently works at Wells Fargo bank.  Seth is manager of Zales in Lubbock

 -Dylan is engaged to Jaimie and they plan to live in Lubbock. Dylan is a police officer in Lamesa.  Jaimie works with the female youth at the Lubbock Juvenile Detention Center.

 -Chase just started Texas Tech as a Sophomore majoring in Forensics.

Layne and Jolene McDowell live in Wasilla, AK. Layne is Naval Captain of the Alaskan command center in Anchorage, and Jolene teaches in the chemistry and AP chemistry at Career Tech High School just outside Wasilla.

 -Landon is a sophomore at the high school where his Mom teaches.  Landon is the Alaskan Business Professionals of America (B.P.A.) state president, he is also involved in cross country and cross country skiing.

 -Grayson is in the 6th grade. He plays basketball and soccer,  and has a very outgoing personality he generally keeps all of the McDowells in stitches.
